About Bengal Delight

With Coventry back in the Premier League, we’re the natural stop before or after the match. Bring your ticket and ask about this week’s supporter offer.

Bengal Delight has been part of Coventry’s dining scene for more than 25 years. In September 2024, the restaurant passed into new family hands — uncles and brothers with a story that reaches back to one of the city’s most legendary kitchens.

Their previous restaurant, Akbars Coventry, was one of the largest Indian restaurant in the region — over 375 seats cover and a name known across the Midlands. A year after Akbars closed, the family dedicated the restaurant to the younger brother Ish to bring Akbars inspiration back into Coventry. Today, the same chefs stand at the tandoor, cooking the recipes Coventry remembers.

The dining room has been refreshed with emerald green seats across the restaurant — a fresh chapter for a restaurant that continues to celebrate the art of Bengal cuisine.
